The graphic design is by Benjamin Sommerhalder , founder of the Swiss publishing house Nieves. He is a friend of Papersky’s director, Lucas B.B., and has provided graphics for Papersky for many years. The material used is 100% cotton jersey knitted with OE yarn (open-ended yarn) that contains air in the fiber. It is characterized by its dry, rough, and natural texture.
Benjamin Sommerhalder
Co-founder and graphic designer of Nieves, a publishing house based in Zurich, Switzerland. After studying graphic design at universities in Basel and Zurich, he launched the art and culture magazine “Zoo” in 1999. Later, in 2001, he founded Nieves, an independent publishing house specializing in art books and zines, publishing zines of works by various artists from around the world. He has collaborated with well-known artists such as Ari Marcopoulos, Kim Gordon, Rita Ackermann, Takashi Honma, and Masanao Hirayama, as well as with up-and-coming artists.
