Akita
Akita Prefecture (秋田県, Akita-ken) is a prefecture of Japan located in the Tohoku region. Akita is known for it’s mountain vegetables, black bears, and it’s annual New Year’s Namahage ritual of scaring small kids to the point of tears. It’s also the birth place of ‘Hachi’ the Akita-inu dog.
