Tochigi prefecture will be the destination for the Spring edition of Papersky\u2019s Tour de Nippon. On this tour you\u2019ll enjoy views of the majestic Nasu Mountain Range, and travel through the many fruit and rice fields of agriculturally rich Yaita city before making a few river crossings to arrive at our final destination the mountain onsen town of Kinugawa in Nikko. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will take place on 5\/28 (sat.) and 5\/29 (sun.). Papersky\u2019s Tour de Nippon project is about finding the magic of Japan\u2019s rural districts, their inhabitants, nature, culture and food. Each ride travels to various prefectures to ride bicycles, eat local food and meet the \u2018real\u2019 people of the area. This upcoming ride will take us through Yaita the heart of Tochigi Prefecture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


EVENT & RIDE DETAILS:<\/strong>
Papersky\u2019s Tour de Nippon in Tochigi \/ Yaita \/\/
DATE: 2022\/5\/28 (Saturday) & 5\/29 (Sunday)
PLACE: Tochigi Prefecture; Yaita City<\/p>\n\n\n\n


FEATURING: <\/strong>
5\/28 (Sat.) – Day 1 \/ Cycle from Nasu Shiobara to Yaita<\/strong>
*Enjoy crystal clear fresh water trout pulled from the Konseigawa River. 
*Apple pie made from Yaita’s famous apples at, a revitalized old house
*An intimate evening featuring Yaita locals. Listen to their stories while eating regional delicacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5\/29 (Sun.) – Day 2 \/ Cycle from Yaita to Nikko<\/strong>
*follow in the footsteps of the legendary poet, Basho. 
*Explore the ruins of an abandoned steam locomotive\u2019s former route. 
*Eat stone-ground buckwheat noodles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


RIDE (Two Days!!!): <\/strong>
5\/28 (Sat.) & 5\/29 (Sun.)<\/strong>
MORNING START TIME & MEETING PLACE (5\/29):
on 5\/28 at 10:25 am we will met up at the plaza with the bronze statue in front of the west exit of the JR Nasu Shiobara Station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINISH TIME & ENDING LOCATION(5\/28): 
The day 5\/28 will end at 8:00 pm at the Yaita Onsen Makotonoyu. 

MORNING START TIME & MEETING PLACE (5\/29):
on 5\/29 at 8:15 am we will met up at Yaita Onsen Makotonoyu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINISH TIME & ENDING LOCATION(5\/29): 
The day 5\/29 will end at 2:00 pm at Tobu Kinugawa Onsen Station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RIDE DISTANCE: 5\/28(Sat.) 43 km \/ 5\/29(Sun.) 35km<\/p>\n\n\n\n


COST – for 2 days event & hotel:<\/strong>
Participation fee : From 24,000 yen \/\/ Includes: 2 Cycling courses and guide, hotel accommodations, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast, snacks, insurance and support car. 

*If you wish to reserve a bicycle for the ride we can arrange that for an additional 3,000 yen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

*The cost of the Papersky\u2019s Tour de Nippon does NOT INCLUDE TRANSPORTATION (flights, cars, trains, ferries) from the participant\u2019s house to the starting point and from the finish point back to the participant\u2019s house. All transportation must be self-booked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
