We have started accepting applications for the Tour de Nippon, which will take participants on a tour of the land and towns of Saitama, a place rich in natural beauty, only one hour from central Tokyo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first day, participants will cycle through the “organic town” of Ogawa-machi, visiting organic farms, winery, cafes, and others that create the town’s charms. After cycling, we will toast with beer and wine from Ogawa-machi and light meals using organic vegetables! In the evening, we will depart for a tour of unique restaurants in Ogawa-machi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the second day, we will leave Ogawa-machi for the surrounding towns. In Tokigawa town, known as the “town of wood,” we will experience a woodworking workshop using outdoor knives. Enjoying tasting Saitama’s delicious food, we ride comfortably through the peaceful foothills of the Okumusashi Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papersky\u2019s Tour de Nippon project is about finding the magic of Japan\u2019s rural districts, their inhabitants, nature, culture and food. Each ride travels to various prefectures to ride bicycles, eat local food and meet the \u2018real\u2019 people of the area. This upcoming ride will take us through Saitama Prefecture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PLACE: Saitama prefecture – Ogawa-machi, Tokigawa town, Ogose-town, Moroyama-town and Hidaka city<\/p>\n\n\n\n


FEATURING: <\/strong>
4\/13 (Sat.) \u2013 Day 1<\/strong>
\u25cfLunch at MOZART<\/a>, a nostalgic branch school caf\u00e9 full of organic vegetables.
\u25cfVisit “SOU FARM<\/a>,” a no-till, pesticide-free, fertilizer-free farm that grows vegetables in close contact with the soil.
\u25cfVisit Musashi Winery<\/a>, which grows and brews grapes completely without pesticides.
\u25cfNight tour of locally recommended restaurants rich in individuality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4\/14 (Sun.) \u2013 Day 2<\/strong>
\u25cfAfter gathering, have breakfast at “PEOPLE<\/a>,” a caf\u00e9 in a renovated Oyanishi warehouse.
\u25cfCycling through satoyama landscape, stopping at delicious spots in each town.
\u25cfWoodworking workshop using “Morakniv<\/a>” at the outdoor store “GRID<\/a>.”
\u25cfSweets at the Alishan Cafe<\/a>, which sells organic foods from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

on 4\/13 at 10:00am we will met up at Tobu Railway \/ JR \u201cOgawamachi Station\u201d Exit.

The day 4\/13 will end at 6:30 pm at “Co-working Lobby NESTo<\/a>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have started accepting applications for the Tour de Nippon, which will take participants on a tour of the land and towns of Saitama, a place rich in natural beauty, only one hour from central Tokyo. On the first day, participants will cycle through the \"organic town\" of Ogawa-machi, visiting organic farms, winery, cafes, and others that create the town's charms. After cycling, we will toast with beer and wine from Ogawa-machi and light meals using organic vegetables! In the evening, we will depart for a tour of unique restaurants in Ogawa-machi.On the second day, we will leave Ogawa-machi for the surrounding towns. In Tokigawa town, known as the \"town of wood,\" we will experience a woodworking workshop using outdoor knives.
