The designs are based on characteristics specific to each area. For instance, the green tea fields of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.papersky.jp\/collections\/japan-towels\/products\/travelers-towel-shizuoka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shizuoka<\/a>, the rolling sea &amp; udon found in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.papersky.jp\/collections\/japan-towels\/products\/travelers-towel-takamatsu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Takamatsu<\/a>\u00a0and the black beans of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.papersky.jp\/collections\/japan-towels\/products\/travelers-towel-tanba-sasayama\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tanba Sasayama<\/a>. Other models include\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.papersky.jp\/collections\/japan-towels\/products\/travelers-towel-onomichi-hiroshima\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Onomichi<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.papersky.jp\/collections\/japan-towels\/products\/travelers-towel-tottori\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tottori<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.papersky.jp\/collections\/japan-towels\/products\/travel-towel\">Ise<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.papersky.jp\/collections\/japan-towels\/products\/travelers-towel\">Shodoshima<\/a>. Papersky teamed up with Japanese traditional tenugui maker Kamawanu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"last\">Each towel is hand dyed via the \u2018chusen\u2019 method and patterns are hand cut with the greatest care. Tenugui\u2019s have been the towels of choice for Japanese travelers since the Edo times because the specially woven cotton absorbs moisture perfectly while drying in a flash.
