Papersky, being a \u2018unique\u2019 magazine, felt very much at home in Kochi – most folks didn\u2019t blink twice when they were confronted with the \u2018Gaikokujin\u2019 editor-in-chief making a magazine about Japan for Japanese people that subtly espouses such ideas as \u2018more leadership for women\u2019, \u2018more importance placed on the outdoors and environment\u2019, \u2018blending the old and new to create a better lifestyle\u2019 and \u2018valuing both local & global cultures\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our \u2018unique\u2019 mission for the Kochi issue was to live for one week as \u2018modern nomads\u2019 hunting and gathering our own food and then to set up camp both Seaside and Mountainside to cook it all up in scrumptious perfection. Our two guests were fishing professional Bun Chan (Ayana Ishikawa) and \u2018traveling chef\u2019 Nao Mikami. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
