New Sights of Kyushu’s National Parks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n

When people think of Yosemite National Park; even if they have never been they have images of majestic rocks and waterfalls in their mind. When people think of Japan\u2019s National Parks they have images of? Well, . . . nothing! During the late summer of 2020 artist, CHALKBOY, traveled with the Papersky magazine crew on a journey through Kyushu that would prove to be the beginning of creating an image of what the Japanese National Parks looked and felt like in our minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyushu is home to live volcanoes, towering mountains, a plethora of small islands, bursting of rivers and swelling of fresh water Kyushu is ALIVE!!!! Kyushu\u2019s main island is home to four National Parks: The Saikai National Park (Nagasaki), The Unzen-Amakusa National Park (Kumamoto, Nagasaki), The Aso-Kujyu National Park (Oita, Kumamoto) and the enormous Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park (Miyazaki, Kagoshima). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For each of Kyushu\u2019s National Parks CHALKBOY, chalked up a marvelous poster creation mixing a bit of modern Ukiyo-e art with a bit of vintage American National Park poster art to help bring light and vision to Japan\u2019s National Parks.

CHALKBOY<\/strong>
This talented artist began his career working in cafe\u2019s serving up coffee and writing the day\u2019s specials on chalkboard menu\u2019s. Patrons were quick to notice and compliment on the handwritten menu\u2019s and soon in place of coffee he found himself serving up letters, illustrations and designs.
