Beginning on the Pacific coast in Yaizu, it travels inland through Shizuoka City, Fujieda, and Shimada, before reaching the forested mountain village of Kawanehon at the southern edge of the Southern Alps. With 6,300 meters of elevation gain, it offers a challenging but rewarding journey from sea to summit.<br>The route crosses a living landscape shaped by fishing culture, mountain traditions, and the climate and customs of the \u014cigawa River basin.
