People see Tokyo as an amass of large buildings. But if you’ve lived in the city for more than 30 years; you know it is a mass of land with valley’s, hills, rivers and bays. And within the land lay small forests, treelined streets as well as lone giants towering in their special spots throughout the city. Sometimes the cities nature fights to survive within the urban landscape and in other instances coexists in perfect peace with the civic environment. However, like a natural Jungle the urban jungle is ever changing and the illustrations on exhibition are snap shots of time taking from the various sections of Papersky’s original Tokyo Tree Trek (TTT) course. It is our hope the iconic views become the memories and spirit of the TTT long into the future.
